Over 17 opposition Members of Parliament have raised concerns to Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw regarding issues affecting train drivers, such as red-signal overshoots and accidents. They highlighted the fatigue and inadequate rest faced by loco pilots, supported by the All India Loco Running Staff Association (AILRSA). The MPs demanded improved facilities and rest periods, citing a Karnataka High Court order favoring 30 hours of weekly rest for loco pilots.
