Deputy election commissioners are visiting states like Maharashtra, Haryana, Jharkhand, and Jammu and Kashmir to assess preparedness for yearend assembly elections. An election panel team is currently in Maharashtra. CEC-led ECI brass will conduct field checks in August or September to ensure everything is ready for the upcoming elections.
