The TMC expressed discontent over not being consulted on the Opposition's decision to nominate Congress MP K Suresh for the post of Lok Sabha Speaker. Suresh filed his nomination without TMC's support, prompting TMC MP Abhishek Banerjee to state that their party leadership will decide their stance. Congress leader Rahul Gandhi hinted at a resolution by saying "Jai Samvidhan" after a conversation with Banerjee inside Lok Sabha.
