Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has criticized the fragile numbers of the ruling National Democratic Alliance (NDA) and the potential for a single disturbance to drop the government. He claimed that the Lok Sabha poll results showed a "tectonic shift" in Indian politics and that the idea and image of Modi have been destroyed. Gandhi attributed the defeat of the BJP to the collapse of the party's basic architecture of creating religious hatred.
