National Conference president Farooq Abdullah acknowledged the good security situation in Jammu and Kashmir but highlighted the persistent threat of terrorism due to the porous border with Pakistan. He condemned the recent terror attack on pilgrims and urged unity in denouncing such acts. Abdullah also expressed hope for a peaceful Amaranth Yatra and emphasized the need for India and Pakistan to move beyond mere congratulations and work towards improving relations.
