Uttar Pradesh state Congress chief Ajay Rai confirmed that the Congress-Samajwadi Party coalition is a "natural alliance" and will persist in the upcoming assembly polls to displace the BJP from power in Uttar Pradesh. The alliance was successful in the Lok Sabha elections where the SP won 37 seats, with Rahul Gandhi securing victories in Rae Bareli and Wayanad.
