On Thursday, Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini took the oath of legislator in his chamber, administered by Assembly Speaker Gian Chand Gupta. Saini emerged victorious in the recent bypoll for the Karnal Assembly seat, defeating his main rival, Congress's Tarlochan Singh. This seat was previously held by his party colleague Manohar Lal Khattar.
