President Droupadi Murmu hosted a dinner at Rashtrapati Bhavan for PM Narendra Modi and outgoing council of ministers, attended by Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar and Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla. Modi tendered his resignation earlier, accepted by the President, who asked him to continue until the new government takes office. BJP-led NDA won a majority in Lok Sabha elections, with Modi unanimously elected as NDA leader for a third term.
