Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath criticised the idea of reservation based on religion. He termed it unconstitutional. He thanked the Calcutta High Court for nullifying OBC certificates issued in West Bengal after 2010. He accused TMC of manipulating OBC rights and warned against compromising the reservation system for SC, ST, and OBC categories. West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee vowed to uphold OBC reservation despite the court's ruling.
