Halkan Kisan, 37, voted for the first time at 'Budha Pahad', his own booth, in Jharkhand's Palamu Lok Sabha constituency. Budha Pahad was a former Maoist stronghold. It has been freed by security forces after three decades. Kisan, from Hesatu village, expressed enthusiasm as the area is now free from Maoist activity. A total of 771 people are eligible to vote at the booth.
