Dr Chandra Sekhar Pemmasani, the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) candidate for the Guntur Lok Sabha seat in Andhra Pradesh, is set to debut in the polls as the richest contestant so far, with assets worth Rs 5,705 crore. He replaces another wealthy TDP candidate, Galla Jayadev, in these elections. Pemmasani, a medical doctor and CEO of UWorld, an online learning platform, has a clean record and is known for his philanthropic activities.
