The BJP announced three new candidates for the Lok Sabha polls, replacing all sitting MPs, including union minister Rajkumar Ranjan Singh. Thounaojam Basanta Kumar Singh will contest from Inner Manipur, while Indu Devi Jatav and Kanhaiya Lal Meena will run in Rajasthan. The party has named candidates for 401 seats out of 543.
