Prime Minister Narendra Modi received a warm welcome in Varanasi, where he began a roadshow after landing at the airport. The roadshow covered 28 km, with a stop at the Kashi Vishwanath Temple for prayers. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and BJP leaders welcomed Modi at the airport. The local BJP units made elaborate arrangements for the visit, and the public, including women and children, greeted Modi with flowers and drumming. Modi is scheduled to visit various places in Varanasi before making a night halt at the BLW Guest House.
