He emphasized his government's commitment to the northeast's development, inaugurating the Sela Tunnel in Arunachal Pradesh. Modi promised to visit the defence personnel at the tunnel in his next term. He highlighted the 'Vibrant Village Programme' and the commencement of road projects and tourism-related projects in numerous villages. Modi also inaugurated and laid foundation stones for various development projects in Manipur, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Sikkim, Tripura, and Assam.
