Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in Assam for a two-day visit. Opposition parties staged a protest against the Citizenship (Amendment) Act (CAA) near Kaziranga. Assam witnessed violent protests after the CAA was passed. AASU president Utpal Sarma opposes the implementation of CAA.
