Ghulam Nabi Azad, chairman of DPAP, has called for the restoration of statehood to Jammu and Kashmir immediately after the assembly elections. He stated that the government has not specified a time frame for this and expressed concern that it could be delayed. Azad also requested Prime Minister Narendra Modi to set up two thermal power projects to address the energy deficit in the region.
