The Enforcement Directorate has registered a fresh case against Sheikh Shahjahan based on an existing FIR. The case focuses on investigating alleged proceeds of the crime amassed by Shahjahan through organized crime and extortion, creating an atmosphere of terror, including murder and grabbing public land. The ED has also taken cognisance of the Sandeshkhali incident.
