An FIR has been filed against JD(S) leader D Kupendra Reddy and his associates for allegedly threatening Congress MLAs in connection with the Rajya Sabha elections in Karnataka, confirmed former Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy and Chief Minister Siddaramaiah. Kumaraswamy defended Reddy, stating that no MLAs were lured, while Siddaramaiah criticized the JD(S) for attempting to influence Congress legislators.
