Eight Samajwadi Party MLAs did not attend Akhilesh Yadav's meeting on Rajya Sabha elections. Apna Dal leader Pallavi Patel had a separate meeting with Yadav and assured support. SP is confident of winning with all three candidates. BJP fielded industrialist Sanjay Seth for Rajya Sabha seats.
