TMC leader Kunal Ghosh has announced that Shajahan Sheikh, a prominent member of the party, will be arrested within seven days. Sheikh is accused of sexual atrocities and land grabbing in the Sandeshkhali area of West Bengal. The Calcutta High Court has clarified that there is no stay on Sheikh's arrest, allowing the police to take action. The court has directed Sheikh, the Enforcement Directorate, the Central Bureau of Investigation, and the state home secretary to be involved in the suo motu matter.
