Former Congress president Rahul Gandhi's Bharat Jodo Yatra faced a political face-off in Amethi, his former stronghold. Union Minister Smriti Irani held a Jan Samwad as part of her four-day visit to Amethi, where she defeated Gandhi in the 2019 elections. The Congress is undecided on whether Gandhi will attempt to regain the constituency.
