Ruling Communist Party of India (CPI) in Kerala is considering contesting the Wayanad Lok Sabha seat, currently held by Rahul Gandhi. There are speculations that Annie Raja, the national mahila samakhya general secretary of CPI and wife of D Raja, could be the party's candidate for the Wayanad seat if Rahul Gandhi chooses to contest from another constituency.
