In preparation for the upcoming general elections, the DMK and Congress conducted the first round of seat-sharing talks in Chennai. They aim to form a strong alliance against the BJP and AIADMK. Although the parties discussed various issues and strategies, the specific number of seats they agreed to share remains undisclosed. The Congress is reportedly seeking around a dozen seats out of the 39 Lok Sabha seats in Tamil Nadu and one in Puducherry.
