The Trinamool Congress (TMC) criticized JD(U) president Nitish Kumar for his "repeated political somersaults" after he resigned from the 'Mahagathbandhan' in Bihar. The TMC asserted that people would respond fittingly to such "opportunism." Nitish Kumar's decision to quit the opposition grouping INDIA and possibly join the NDA marked his second volte-face in less than 18 months.
