Budget 2024: Will Modi govt use this interim budget to woo voters? What the signs suggest so far

By Economic Times - 10 months ago
Interim Budget: The demand for "Modi currency" in the electoral market is soaring, benefiting the BJP. With the opposition INDIA alliance struggling and lacking a unified front, the BJP appears to have a clear advantage. The previous interim budget in 2019 did not include major sops to attract votes. The BJP has skillfully addressed religion, caste politics, infrastructure, development, and foreign diplomacy, creating a formidable challenge for the opposition. Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman may not need to use her fiscal arsenal to appease voters this time.
