The Supreme Court has stayed criminal proceedings against Samajwadi Party leader Swami Prasad Maurya in a case related to his alleged controversial remark on Tulsidas' Ramcharitmanas. The apex court issued a notice to the Uttar Pradesh government and sought its response.
