Shiv Sena President Uddhav Thackeray warned Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath of the same fate as former Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, claiming that the BJP leadership would 'shunt' him out. Thackeray accused the BJP of using and then discarding leaders like Devendra, Eknath Shinde, and Vasundhra Raje. He also criticized the BJP for using the names of Lord Ram and Hanuman to win votes without accomplishing anything in the last ten years.
