Sunshine Asuncion, the woman behind The Crafters Marketplace, is gearing up for the holidays with a delightful series of bazaars called Crafted Christmas.

This festive event will bring together skilled artisans and crafters from The Crafters Marketplace to showcase unique, handmade, and customizable gifts. These bazaars will be held across several prominent malls, including Ayala Malls Circuit, Vista Mall Taguig, and One Ayala Mall. In an exclusive interview with The Thought Junkie, Sunshine shares her vision for Crafted Christmas and what makes it an exceptional holiday shopping experience.

Thought Junkie: Sunshine, why Crafted Christmas?

Sunshine Asuncion: There's something more meaningful when you give a gift that is handmade or customized. It sends a message that you really thought of that person specifically. At Crafted Christmas, we have vendors that give shoppers the opportunity to buy crafted items that are unique and special!

What can people expect from the event? What typically happens?

Apart from the creative vendors, The Crafters Marketplace will be hosting craft sessions throughout the weekend. We will have a Gantsilyo Party, coloring station, bracelet bar — all for free

Shoppers can participate in any of these activities to jumpstart their creativity. Sometimes, it's simple activities like these that inspire us to create more or even to just start creating.

What inspired you to start this?

In 2008, when I started my handmade card business, I saw how much my customers loved the idea of customizing their gifts with monograms. It was such a big deal to give something personalized — it showed so much thought and care. Back then, supplies were limited, but today, the possibilities are endless! Crafted Christmas is our way of helping shoppers see how easy and meaningful it is to give thoughtful gifts. With these bazaars, we hope to spread the joy of gifting with intention.

What products are you offering?

Products you will find at the markets include notepads, stickers, customizable tumblers, mugs, and totes. We'll also have candle makers, junk journals, stationery, and more!
