THE Philippine Marketing Association (PMA) held its 23rd Strategic Marketing (StratMark) Student Conference on October 8, 2024, at the University of Santo Tomas (UST) Quadricentennial Pavilion, with simultaneous events at universities nationwide.
Themed "Transform: Marketing in the Age of AI and Sustainability," the conference united over 4,000 marketing leaders and students to explore how artificial intelligence and sustainability are shaping the future of marketing in the Philippines.
This StratMark Conference marked a milestone as PMA's first multi-location event, connecting institutions such as De La Salle University Dasmariñas and Silliman University.
Leah Marie Ayeng, PMA director for Youth & Academe, celebrated the development, stating, "In its 23rd year, we remain committed to advancing world-class marketing in the Philippines and globally."
Speakers from Asean, including technology and sustainability experts, discussed AI's role in promoting responsible business practices. Leaders from PLDT, Globe, and Amazon Web Services shared insights on AI's influence on customer engagement and brand strategy.
The program featured two keynotes: Satrio Anindito of the Indonesia Marketing Association addressed sustainability's impact on marketing strategies, while Eric Ku of iTrain Asia highlighted AI's transformative potential for businesses, especially MSMEs.
Panel discussions and interactive sessions emphasized using AI responsibly to foster sustainable innovation, reinforcing PMA's commitment to guiding future marketers in an evolving digital landscape.
