THE government on Sunday launched a Bagong Pilipinas Serbisyo Fair (BPSF) for 15,000 members of the creative industry.
The "Paglinang sa Industriya ng Paglikha," launched at the Philippine Sports Arena (Ultra) in Pasig City, is from October 13 to 14.
Deputy Secretary General Sofonias Gabonada Jr. of the House of Representatives said the BPSF extended P5,000 cash aid to eligible persons under the Department of Social Welfare and Development's Ayuda sa Kapos Ang Kita Program.
Each beneficiary also received 5 kilos of rice.
"The event, which features the participation of 23 government agencies, provides access to more than 100 essential government services, such as permits, licenses and health services, that are critical for professionals in the creative industry," Speaker Martin Romualdez said.
Romualdez is a proponent of the BPSF.
"Training programs from agencies such as the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority and the Department of Labor and Employment are part of the initiative to ensure that beneficiaries have the necessary skills to succeed in their fields," Romualdez said.
