MANILA, Philippines — University of the Philippines (UP) overcame a 22-point disadvantage to turn back Adamson University (AdU), 69-57, and stay undefeated in the UAAP Season 87 men's basketball tournament at the Mall of Asia Arena Saturday.
Terrence Fortea banged 13 points on a perfect 4-of-4 shooting including 3-of-3 from the 3-point area to pace the league-leading Fighting Maroons, who erased a 9-31 deficit enroute to a perfect 5-0 slate
Fortea keyed UP's second half surge with the aid of Harold Alarcon who logged 14 points and seven rebounds.
Quentin Milora-Brown also came through with 11 points and 13 boards.
The Soaring Falcons dropped to 3-3, good for fourth place in the standings.
