Batman, born in an American comic strip in 1939 and hero of several Hollywood blockbusters, gets his star on the Walk of Fame on Hollywood Boulevard in Los Angeles. After Mickey Mouse (the first fictional character to receive a star, in 1978), Bugs Bunny, Winnie the Pooh, Tinkerbell and Shrek — among others — Batman becomes the 14th fictional character to achieve this distinction, among the 2,790 stars that make up one of California's most popular attractions.AFP VIDEO
