Michael Yang's brother arrested

By Manila Times - 20 hours ago
THE Presidential Anti-Organized Crime Commission (Paocc) said they have arrested the brother of former presidential economic adviser Michael Yang at Terminal 3 of the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA). Yang Jian Xin, also known as Tony Yang, was nabbed by agents of the Paocc, the Bureau of Immigration (BI) and the Intelligence Service of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (Isafp). Yang, deemed an undesirable alien, will be deported and blacklisted if he is found guilty, BI Officer in Charge Joel Anthony Viado said. The deportation will start after all pending cases in the Philippines are resolved, he said. "Yang has allegedly falsified information on the SEC certification of Phil Sanjia Corporation. He will also be charged for violation of Social Security Act and Republic Act 11223 or the Universal Healthcare Act for the non-remittance of SSS, PhilHealth and PagIbig contributions of Filipino employees of Sanjia Steel Corp.," the BI said. The Paocc said Tony Yang is the leader of the brothers. "He violated immigration laws so that's his initial violation," Paocc Undersecretary Gilbert Cruz said.
