MANILA, Philippines — President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. appointed lawyer Jesse Hermogenes Andres as the new head of the Energy Regulatory Commission (ERC), Malacañang announced on Saturday. In a Facebook post, the Presidential Communications Office (PCO) said that Andres has been designated as "officer-in-charge, chairman and chief executive officer" of the ERC. Andres' appointment, which was signed by Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin by the authority of the President on Friday, is effective immediately.
