WATCH: House panel slashes Duterte budget for 2025

Marikina Rep. Stella Luz Quimbo, appropriations committee senior vice chairman at the House of Representatives on Sept. 12, 2024, announced the decision of the panel's executive committee to cut the budget of the Office of the Vice President by nearly P1.3 billion from P2 billion, leaving her office with about P730 million to use for 2025. The budget cuts were taken from the financial assistance services and lease expenses estimated at P947 million and P48.3 million for lease expenses. The excess funds will be transferred to the Department of Health and the Department of Social Welfare and Development under their respective assistance programs. Video by Red Mendoza
