ILOILO CITY — The Police Regional Office 6 (PRO-6) confiscated around 299 grams of suspected shabu valued at P2 million in an operation on Tuesday. The PRO-6 said they also arrested 23 suspects in the 16 police operations conducted across the region. Of the number of arrests, four are tagged as high-value individuals and 19 are street-level individuals. The Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office made the highest number of arrests with six, followed by the Iloilo City Police Office and Iloilo Provincial Police Office (IPPO) with five apprehensions each. The biggest single drug haul was made by the IPPO with the confiscation of around P625,000 worth of illegal drugs in Barangay Camambugan in Balasan. This was followed by the P489,600 worth of shabu confiscated during an operation conducted in Pavia, Iloilo. Meanwhile, the Bacolod City Police Office confiscated approximately P374,000 worth of shabu from two high-value individuals and a street-level individual in Barangay Singcang-Airport. The PRO-6 said they also arrested 54 wanted persons on the same day, including 13 most wanted persons.
