BACOLOD CITY — About 500 participants are expected to attend the Bacolod Business Summit and Expo 2024 on September 13 to 14 at The Central Hall, Ayala Malls Capitol Central here, said John Anthony Ledesma, president of Bacolod Entrepreneurs United (BEU), during the event's media launch on Saturday.
The event was organized by BEU in partnership with Metro Bacolod Chamber of Commerce and Industry and with the support from the office of the city mayor through Bacolod City Department of Local Economic Development and Investment Promotions, Bacolod Tourism Office and Sectoral Affairs Office.
This year's summit has the theme "Building the Future for a Sustainable Bacolod."
Ledesma also said that 50 exhibitors will be displaying their products.
Expected to attend the business event are delegates from the micro, small and medium enterprises of Metro Bacolod, various entrepreneurs, various colleges, local government units of Negros Occidental, with special collaborations with the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry Iloilo Chapter, European Chamber of Commerce, and Chamber of Commerce and Industry Australia-Philippines.
The summit aims to foster stronger business relationships, promote collaboration, and attract investments to Bacolod City and the province of Negros Occidental.
By bringing together key industry players from both local and international markets, Ledesma also said that the event "will provide a valuable platform for networking, knowledge sharing and exploring potential partnerships."
The summit will be graced by six speakers who will be discussing the latest trends and opportunities in various industries.
Conference tickets are priced at P500 good for the two-day summit.
Admission at the expo hall and business networking areas are free.
Ledesma also said that this year's summit will raise awareness in the local business community.
On the other hand, on the last day, Dagyaw Negrense president Anne Ledesma, wife of the president, said there will be a Junior BEU Contest wherein the youth participants will present their business innovations.
Dagyaw Scholarship Program will also be launched, Ledesma said.
The entrepreneur couple acknowledged the support given by the Bacolod City government.
