MANILA, Philippines — The Tulfo family expressed their sincere gratitude to those who condoled and mourned with them the demise of their mother, Caridad Teshiba Tulfo.

Speaking in behalf of the family, Rep. Erwin Tulfo also thanked those who sent flowers, donated to the foundations of their mother and everybody who helped until their mother's remains were taken to her resting place at the Heritage Memorial Park in Taguig City on Sunday.

"We thanked those who sympathized and mourned with us and helped ease our grief,: Tulfo said in a statement.

The family also asked for the understanding of motorists who may have been disturbed by the funeral procession from Quezon City to Taguig on Sunday morning.

"We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience that we may have caused to some motorists yesterday due to the funeral procession," Sen. Raffy Tulfo said.

Caridad passed away on Tuesday, August 27, at the age of 97 due to natural causes.

She is survived by her children Ramon Junior, Tuchi, Wanda, Ben, Bong, Joseph, Raffy, Erwin, and Edelle.
