Akari stays unbeaten, ousts sister team Nxled

MANILA, Philippines — Akari blitzed to its seventh straight victory as it also eliminated sister team Nxled, 21-25, 25-19, 25-17, 25-18, in the second round of the Premier Volleyball League (PVL) 2024 Reinforced Conference at the PhilSports Arena in Pasig City on Thursday, August 15, 2024.The undefeated Chargers (7-0) overcame a first-set blip before cruising for the win and move one win away from sweeping the preliminaries.

The Chameleons, on the other hand, absorbed its sixth straight defeat after scoring a victory on their first game. Oly Okaro fired 30 points on 28 attacks, an ace, and a block, while Ivy Lacsina added 19 points.Team captain Michelle Cobb made 18 excellent sets, along with nine points off four blocks, one ace, and four aces."I was emotional because our team has been through a lot of challenges.
