Bianca Pagdanganan jumps in world golf rankings

MANILA, Philippines — Fresh off a fourth place finish at the recent Paris Olympics, Filipina golfer Bianca Pagdanganan jumped in golf's Rolex Rankings to her best rank yet.

From 121st after her stint in the CPKC Women's Cup in Canada, Pagdanganan is now ranked 106th in the rankings, following her Olympic stint.

This is the Filipina's best career rank yet, with 49.07 total points and 1.12 average points across 44 events this year.

Her previous career best for this year was at 113th place, after the KPMG Women's PGA Championship in the United States.

Meanwhile, fellow Olympian Dottie Ardina is ranked 232nd in the standings, jumping from 262nd, while another Filipina, Rianne Malixi, is 460th in the world.

As of the recent Paris Olympics, Tokyo Olympic champion Nelly Korda is atop the standings, followed by fellow American Lilia Vu. Amy Yang of South Korea rounded up the top 3. ARIC JOHN SY CUA
