MANILA, Philippines — The Far Eastern University (FEU) Tamaraws announced on Wednesday that coach Tina Salak is returning as women's volleyball head coach for the upcoming season.

"From the outset, it has been our intention for Coach Tina to provide long-term mentorship in FEU. However, personal administrative matters made her miss most of the buildup for #UAAPSeason85 when she remained involved as a consultant," the team announced on Facebook.

FEU also said with Salak back on the team, she reassumes the head coaching position and that Manolo Refugia, who took the Lady Tamaraws into the final four in Season 86, will remain on her staff.

"We are confident that Tina and Manolo's leadership and expertise will continue to drive our team towards the ultimate goal of winning our 30th UAAP championship," the Tamaraws said.

A separate statement by FEU Athletics wrote that they are thrilled for Salak's return to the team.
