By Manila Times - a month ago

MORE individuals and business owners in the Ilocos region turned to BDO Unibank for their banking needs, leading to the successful implementation of its monthlong community marketing initiative, "Sa Bangko, Sigurado."

The initiative featured educational workshops and on-the-ground activities in Vigan and Laoag, which proved to be constructive in connecting with and serving the communities effectively.

The primary objective was to offer tailored financial solutions and provide a secure banking experience for the clients.

The BDO Fiesta, held on August 3 at the Ilocos Norte Centennial Arena, wrapped up the initiative, bringing together Ilocano clients, including micro-entrepreneurs, returning overseas Filipinos, and their families.

It featured various booths highlighting critical aspects of the customer journey with BDO, filled with games and prizes.

It also focused on financial education such as the significance of opening and maintaining savings accounts, including BDO and BDO Network Bank, Junior Savers for children ages 12 and below, as well as Kabayan Savings accounts for overseas Filipinos and their beneficiaries; value of growing deposits through investments and loans, including products such as Negosyante Loan, SME Loan, SME Cash Management System, BDO Home and BDO Auto Loans and multi-purpose loans for home repairs, business capital, and other needs; easy access to various payment channels, including Cash Agad, BDO Pay and BDO Credit Card.

The BDO Fiesta was a star-studded event featuring performances by actor and BDONB brand ambassador Coco Martin, comedic acts by Basilio and Smugglaz, social media influencer and BDO Remit brand ambassador Small Laude, and the funny duo of MC and Lassy.

BDO is committed to expanding its initiatives in Ilocos and other regions to provide more financial education and empowerment opportunities.
