MANILA, Philippines — THE southwest monsoon or habagat will bring cloudy to overcast skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said Monday.
Weather specialist Robert Badrina said that the southwest monsoon will bring cloudy skies with scattered downpours and thunderstorms in Palawan and Western Visayas.
The rest of the country will likely have partly cloudy to overcast skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to the localized thunderstorms, Pagasa said.
Badrina said the country will be "storm-free" until the weekend.
"We have not monitored any tropical cyclone or low pressure area inside or outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility," he said.
