MANILA, Philippines — Most parts of the country will have fair weather Sunday while some areas will have rain showers, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said.
Weather specialist Daniel James Villamil said the southwest monsoon will affect Batangas, MIMAROPA (Mindoro, Marinduque, Romblon and Palawan) and Western Visayas where partly cloudy to overcast skies with isolated downpours and thunderstorms are likely.
Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies due to the localized thunderstorms, Pagasa said.
Villamil said many areas will continue to swelter particularly from noon to mid-afternoon despite the start of the rainy season.
