THE PLDT High Speed Hitters boosted its lineup for the upcoming Premier Volleyball League (PVL) 2024 Reinforced Conference as they announced the return of Russian import Elena Samoilenko.
PLDT shared on its socials that Samoilenko will play along with the High Speed Hitters for the second time.
"We just loved Lena Samoilenko's quiet intensity so much that we had to bring her back for another tour of duty with the PLDT High Speed Hitters in the upcoming 2024 PVL Reinforced Conference," PLDT said on its social media.
The Russian spiker had her first PVL appearance in 2022, where she tallied 213 points in eight games.
The six-foot-four outside spiker was also fresh from her recent stint in Kazakhstan.
After PLDT fell short of its semis bid in the previous All-Filipino Conference with an 8-5 win-loss card (fifth place), Samoilenko will team up with Filipino Canadian gunner Savi Davison to lift their squad in the upcoming Reinforced Conference.
The Rald Ricafort-mentored squad aims to end its three-conference semis drought as the new PLDT acquisitions: Kianna Dy, Majoy Baron, and playmaker Kim Fajardo will join the force to bounce back from its previous conference finish.
The 2024 PVL Reinforced Conference is set to start in July.
