MANILA, Philippines — After her French Open qualifiers appearance, Filipina tennis ace Alex Eala has climbed once again in the world standings.
The 19-year-old Filipina reached a new career high in her Women's Tennis Association (WTA) rankings, placing 157th as of Monday, May 27.
According to the WTA's website, Eala climbed three places from her previous career best, which was at 160th from last week.
At the French Open qualifying rounds, she defeated China's Ma Yexin and Australia's Taylah Preston, before being eliminated at the hands of Argentina's Julia Riera in the third round.
