MANILA, Philippines -- The Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) lifted all storm signals as Typhoon "Aghon" slightly weakens while moving away from the landmass.

Weather specialist Rhea Torres said the center of the typhoon was estimated some 315 kilometers east of Tuguegarao City, Cagayan while moving north-eastward at 15 kilometers per hour (kph) with maximum sustained winds of 130kph near the center and gustiness of up to 160kph.

Aghon is unlikely to directly bring significant amount of rainfall within the next three days, the Pagasa forecaster said.

"With the lifting of all hoisted wind signals, possible impacts from severe winds of Aghon within the forecast period are becoming unlikely," Torres said.

Meanwhile, another weather system - southwesterly wind flow - will bring moderate to heavy rains over Western Visayas and the western portion of Central and Southern Luzon in the next three days.

The state-run weather agency said Aghon may exit the Philippine Area of Responsibility on Wednesday afternoon or evening.
