GERI to spend P5B for township project

By Manila Times - 6 months ago

MEGAWORLD subsidiary Global-Estate Resorts Inc. (GERI) is investing an initial P5 billion to develop a 150-hectare beachside property in Lian, Batangas, over the next 10 years.

Lialto Beach and Golf Estates is poised to become the Megaworld Group's 32nd township development in the country, GERI said over the weekend.

The project will feature a residential village, with prime lots ranging from 300 to 1,200 square meters, an 18-hole golf course, a beach clubhouse, a 20-meter-tall lighthouse, and a nearly one-kilometer coastline.

"We designed this development for people who want to be surrounded by the beautiful vistas of the beach and the sea while also enjoying an unparalleled golf lifestyle," said Javier Romeo Abustan, vice president for sales and marketing at Megaworld Global-Estate Inc.

Around two-and-a-half hours away from Metro Manila, the new township can be accessed via the South Luzon Expressway (SLEx) and the Cavite-Laguna Expressway (Calax) leading to the Calatagan-Lian Highway.

Lialto Beach and Golf Estates, designed to be a sustainable community, will be equipped with solar-powered street lights. GERI will also designate a mangrove area along the beach as a protected marine sanctuary.

"Whether you dream of raising your family, retiring and enjoying an active and engaging community, or simply investing in a place where you can grow and enjoy your future, this development promises to be a very special place for years to come," Abustan added.
