MANILA, Philippines: Warm, humid weather will prevail in most parts of the country, except in areas where there will be downpours and thunderstorms, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said Sunday.
Weather specialist Grace Castañeda said they have not monitored any weather disturbance entering the country. Last week, the weather bureau predicted that a storm will enter the Philippine Area of Responsibility this week and will be named Aghon.
The easterlies – winds coming from the east that pass through the Pacific Ocean and carry humid and warm weather – are affecting Eastern Visayas where overcast skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms are likely in 24 hours, Pagasa said.
The same weather system will bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated downpours or thunderstorms in Metro Manila and the rest of the country especially in the afternoon or at night.
