Japanese sensibilities at Kenzo's reopened store

By Manila Times - 7 months ago

French luxury fashion brand Kenzo has has unveiled its Spring/Summer collection just in time for the reopening of its Greenbelt 3 store.

The 96-square meter store has been fitted with Kenzo's curated approach to retail, showcasing the brand's youthfulness and innovative spirit under the leadership of new artistic director, Nigo.

Dedicated to Kenzo's collections for women and men, accessories, footwear as well as kidswear from Spring/Summer 2024 main collection, the store also carries the gender-neutral styles from Kenzo x Asics, which is its first sneakers collaboration with Japanese brand designed by artistic director Nigo.

Putting together an immersive brand experience for customers is a must for the storied French fashion house. Here is not only a stage for the brand's latest fashion pieces, but also a pilgrimage site for Kenzo fans.

Upon moving through the store, the medley of materials and minerals such as concrete, white cement, and mirrors unexpectedly merged to create this singular and effortless Kenzo shopping experience.

Accessories shelves and hanging structures for garments in anodized aluminium in black provide the perfect contrast to the white textured walls and accentuate each individual piece on display.

Grids of fluorescent tube lighting grid hang overhead, custom made for the store add to the geometric feel of the space.

Meanwhile Nigo's third limited edition capsule collection for Spring/Summer is also presented here: Denim Boke. The capsule collection translates the bold energy of Kenzo's genetics through the simplified graphic language of Nigo.

Boke and denim defines a collection comprised of pieces for women and men, all genderless in nature. In homage to Kenzo Takada, each drop revolves around the idea of the natural elements key to the legacy of the founder.

Expanding on the form and function of these motifs, Nigo draws on the Japanese sensibility of flora and fauna as signifiers of symbols and feelings. With one more additional drop to follow, as an exciting teaser welcoming the full launch of Nigo's Fall Winter collection.
